Aiden Markram scored a superb fifty in the second innings against New Zealand, as South Africa is currently looking to chase down the target quickly. The captain of the Proteas showcased a brutal hitting display in the first six overs, putting the New Zealand bowlers under a lot of pressure.
Markram kept playing his shots from the start of the innings, as the pitch at Ahmedabad allowed him to play big shots all around the ground. Despite losing Quinton de Kock in the Powerplay, Aiden Markram backed his attacking skills to hit big sixes in the second innings. Due to his superlative striking, South Africa scored 83 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in the Powerplay.
The captain of Proteas then completed his half-century in the 7th over when he smashed Santner for a big six on the last ball of the over. Markram only took 19 balls to hit fifty, showcasing why he is a strong strike force for South Africa in the T20I format.
