India thrashed Namibia by 93 runs in the latest ICC T20 World Cup encounter at Delhi. The star of the show was Hardik Pandya, who produced an allround performance to help the home side register a convincing victory in the match.
Batting first, India started the innings on a positive note, as the top order fired quick runs in the Powerplay. The whirlwind knock of Ishan Kishan was especially impressive, as he took down the Namibian attack fiercely. Even after losing Sanju Samson, he kept playing his shots to keep the pressure on the Namibian bowlers.
After scoring brilliant 61 runs, Ishan Kishan was sent back to the pavilion, courtesy of some tight bowling by Gerhard Erasmus. The star allrounder of India, Hardik Pandya, then took the responsibility to take the momentum forward, as he played a special innings afterwards to give India a commanding total of 209 on the board.
Coming out to chase the target, Namibia struggled badly in front of the experienced Indian attack. They started the innings positively, but lost the momentum after the Powerplay. Both Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh removed the top order of Namibia to give India a strong edge in the match.
The middle order of Namibia also failed to provide any spark to the innings, as they kept losing wickets one after another. The bowling of Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel in the middle overs was impressive, as they kept things tight and picked regular wickets to take India closer to victory.
As a result, Namibia was bowled out for just 116, handing India a second consecutive victory in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Hardik Pandya received the Player of the Match award, as his allround performance in both innings gave India a decisive edge in the match.
