Saim Ayub Reclaims No.1 Spot as Abrar Ahmed Hits Career High in ICC T20I Rankings

Pakistan all-rounder Saim Ayub has made a strong comeback in the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings, reclaiming the No.1 position among all-rounders. The rankings were released on Wednesday, confirming Saim’s return to the top after displacing Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, who now occupies second place. India’s Hardik Pandya continues to hold the third position.

Mohammad Nawaz also made progress in the all-rounders list, moving up one place to fourth with 230 points. Shadab Khan surged 13 positions to reach 26th, while skipper Salman Ali Agha climbed seven spots to 54th. Faheem Ashraf slipped six places to 46th, and Shaheen Shah Afridi dropped two positions to 69th.

Abrar Ahmed Climbs to Career-Best Bowling Rank

The most significant gain for Pakistan came in the bowling department, where mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed jumped to a career-best second position in the ICC T20I bowling rankings. Abrar now holds 748 points and is closing the gap on India’s Varun Chakravarthy, who remains at the top of the list.

Spinner Mohammad Nawaz also impressed, climbing eight places to seventh with 672 points. Shaheen Shah Afridi advanced five positions to 19th, while Salman Mirza dropped four spots to 22nd. Sufiyan Muqeem slipped five places to 38th.

Additional movement saw Haris Rauf fall nine places to 66th, Shadab Khan leap 33 positions to 72nd, and Faheem Ashraf drop 11 spots to 87th.

Mixed Movement Among Pakistan Batters

In the ICC T20I batting rankings, opener Sahibzada Farhan slipped two places from fifth to seventh with 715 points. Saim Ayub made a notable rise of eight positions to 27th, while captain Salman Ali Agha climbed 12 places to 29th with 589 points.

Former skipper Babar Azam dropped three positions to 34th. Mohammad Rizwan fell six places to 67th with 479 points, while Fakhar Zaman slipped five spots to 74th. Young pacer Hasan Nawaz moved down six positions to 90th.

Despite some setbacks, Pakistan’s presence remains strong across categories, with ICC T20I rankings continuing to reflect the team’s depth and evolving balance ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
